Another Bodog $100k ticket win!

Mostly zero'd out the Sunday tourneys I played in today. Once again very little sleep last nigh (I can't recall the last time I got a decent sleep on a Saturday night or when I didn't log onto the computer to find myself sitting out in a few 'pre-reg'd.' games). It's a reallyl shitty way to start a day & a huge precursor to tilt. Today after busting out of the first few I decided "That's it. I'm going to sitout for a couple of hours & start this over again at noon". Well.. it didn't work out that way - - I was in some NewDep.PrizeFreeroll on WillHill (not sure why I got a ticket for it?). 1st place was a Sony Laptop. 747 entrants & I was acquiring a stack. I couldn't just sitout. (at same time I busted out of the $5k Monthly sidegames freeroll on there, when this HUGE SPazz raises with Q4o in MP.. I ship 20bb's from BB with AQs.. he SNAPS and flop is QT4... sigh.. with Q on river, lol.) I managed to final table the Prize Freeroll, 7th winning a $44 ticket. Went out with TT v 66 (6 on river). Too bad. A laptop would've been super nice! :) Played a $60 mtt (with a coupon) on BCP. Knowing they're moving to WPN tomorrow, I didn't want to get stuck with some tickets in account. 547 entrants, went out ~75th. Was a decent tourney. Too bad I'll never get to play it again, lol. Last one for the day was the $5 SundayFootball $100k ticket added on Bodog. Seemed like no time at all & I was sitting on Final table & by the time the bubble had popped I only then just realized that we were even actually on the final table. Final 4 & I win BIG pot with AA. Then 3 left I'm CL. Other two get it in pre.. and we're even in chips HU (~30bb's). Back & forth and then villain is raising LARGE every single SB & I'm totally cardead but RRAI just enough to stay in it. Finally get back to even.. and then final hand is he raises (LARGE like usual) & I RRAI 20bb's w ATs..he calls it off with KTo. I hold.. yesssssss!!!!!!! Sweet! $162 ticket + $78.75. Second time I've won that tourney in a month (50entrants in tonight's game). Won't be missing that one ever! Two tickets saved up for the $100k now. Hopefully win some Christmas shopping money next weekend (wouldn't that be f'n sweet timing? Final table the $100k a few weeks before Christmas!! ONE TIME!!!).

3rd in PoketFives Open!!!

Didn't have plans to play today but then was reg'd for the PocketFives Open on 888Poker. Was a $10 buyin with a bunch of cash & prizes added. Top 20 finishers won a license to PokerTracker4 which was my main goal at start of tournanment. A good friend of mine came by just after the game started & I contemplated sitting out & blinding off to go out for dinner instead. He insisted I play it and stuck around to watch for awhile. 7hrs. later, I go out in 3rd place for $589.00, a Hoodie/sweatshirt, PT4 license ($99), and a 1month membership at PocketFives Training site!!! Glad I played!

OFC - WPT

Another big OFC on WPT weekend. Unfortunately I had crap results. Some really bad suckouts vs. aggro tards again, lol. BUT, Darlene did decently in them. On Saturday she took a brutal beating w AA vs 93s (yup, guy limp/calls 6x with 93s OOP).. FLop was K-J-3 he calls a 7/8th pot bet on flop (3-way).. & he's 3rd in. Turn '6' & Dar leads out again when checked too.. 'big'.. one caller.. mr. 93 with his bottom pr. (ridiculous).. and of course.. '3' on the river, LOL. She was down to just 800 chips (he was over 7k). He was out before bubble.. she took 6th for $40.44 Today's game (Sun., $5 buyin with $2,000added) again I did crap but not for lack of getting it in great (again). I raised it up w QQ in UTG1.. MP calls w 77 Flop (825) 862ss I cbet 618 (a bit larger than usual cuz the player in hand is uberfishtard).... villain RRAI 2,940!!!! WOW! I call. Turn 5 River 9 he hits runner runner for a straight! how sick is that!!! Day was not all bad. Once again Darlene hung in there & got final table, but ended up going out when AK < 88 finishing in 9th for $74.36

Sun. Oct. 28 2 tickets!!! $215 & $162

Decent day today. Babysat last night & had a sleepover. Got up early with plans of a full schedule but then chose to hangout with grandaughter instead. Did play a few... then considered quitting & taking a nap at around 1:30pm but stuck it out a bit longer as I began to go deep in a $10 mtt on Juicy. Glad I stuck around. Although only small cashes in the JuicyStakes tourneys (16th & 33rd of 300 & 973 entrants for $33 & $41)... it did keep me on the computer. Managed to take down a $215 ticket on ACR & $83 in cash. Then later on I took 1st in a Bodog priv. tourney for $162 ticket & $66 in cash. (< this was a game I bubbled 3 weeks in-a-row, LOL... glad I played it again!). All in all.. over $600 profit on the day, puts the priv. total over $6,000 on the year & over $1,000 for month of October. Two more months to go now. Will be happy with $7,500 by end of year.

2x 1st CC games, BCP & Juicy

Played hardly anything this weekend. Really bummed out about Darlene having two blood clots & paralysis of her right arm. Still in shock over it.... devastated!!! Couldn't sleep properly & couldn't get my head into much of anything so I just dicked around a bit in a few priv. games & freerolls. Managed to profit ~$250 in last 3 days. Not too bad for not even really playing, lol. (Maybe alot better than if I had been playing, LOL... f'n poker!). Took 1st in new JuicyStakes CC game. Just a $100 freeroll but 1st = $45.00 Folded in early going vs. what I KNEW was a complete b.s. flop raise.. but I gave it up... let him bluff (he showed.. all proud of himself, lol)... even though I was 100% certain it was complete AIRball. It's just soooo easy to get paid off in those games that I don't feel it's worth it to get in a pissing match in early going (for what? ego?.. fuck it!). Actually sat out for ~20mins. after that, was out of coffee so I went to the store & ran a few errands. Was nice to come back & take it down. 1st in the $5 buyin BCP game too. This one was a bit better. $95.00

MiniGSOP series starts today, Event #1 ITM!!

MiniGSOP series started today - Event #1, $22buyin, $40Kguar. on Bwin. Went out in 126th of 2,147 entrants, cashed for $55.33 Took 2nd in Cardschat Pokerstars game (chopped for $40). Yesterday (Saturday) only played small handful of priv. games, profit on day $97 Today, added in some reg. games, ran pretty bad for the most part but came away with ~$75 profit today too. Meh.. not a bad weekend.

Still no motivation... & very little time...

Still major lack of motivation & playing very little. Time has been taken up by lots of stress & lots of work at my part-time job. Had hopes of putting in 2 solid weekdays of MTT play each week... maybe even some MTT-SNG grinding for a half-dozen hours. No such thing. I'm rarely even playing the priv. MTT's now these days. Started a SKYPE MTT Group. Called > 'FreeTrollers'. Discovered that 'screen-sharing' is possible on Skype without paying for the extra deal... cuz it works in 'Group' calls. BONUS!!! Great for coaching/reviewing/railing. So far, two guys in the group > MasterOfDisaster (netherlands) & Daniel72ko (germany), both seem like real good guys & both are solid players. Should be good! Will ask a few more guys here in the future but don't want to get a big group at all. Had plans of playing a couple dozen tourneys today (Friday), starting at 11am. Then plan changed > 12noon. Plans change again (lol).. 'maybe I get home in time to play the CC game starting at 2pm?' I'm late for game (35mins.) but managed a 4th. Then reg'd for the BlueLizard on Intertops & took 2nd in that one (but only 9 entrants in it today). Minimal cashes but was good to at least score in something (keep the bankroll alive). Also, the Bluelizard game today was my 199th cash in priv. tourneys in 2012. I'll have to final table a Sunday Major if I'm going to ever reach my 2012 goals now, lol. There's still a few months to go... but am thinking things are going to be getting REAL BUSY around here soon as my partner will be returning home pretty soon & then I'm going to have a 2yr.old grandaughter running around here ALOT! (it'll be good though!). Maybe I make a concession/compromise with them & set it up so that I plan to play ever Wednesday & every Tuesday during the day? (& Sundays too of course). That should work out okay I'd think. Hoping to play some decent tourneys this weekend! I'm going to try to satty into the iPoker $150K guar. ($215buyin) & maybe the Bodog$100k too ($165buyin). Have a few other good games happening this weekend too (OFC WPT games we won & UNIPOKER on club7poker along with some tourney tickets on there including a $60 buyin I'll be playing probably on Sunday... but maybe put that one in on Saturday? we'll see.. ). Going to try to mentally prepare myself > get adequate food, rest, sleep.. get in great headspace... then take something big down!! It would be nice & long overdue (overdue? what do I mean? I don't even play anymore, lol). Planning on some withdrawls starting Oct. now too. Figure to take out $800/mth. & then sustain that amount to withdrawl as a goal every single month. I can sustain that right now & have workable bankroll for the next 3mos., even if on downswing (if plan is to keep minimum of $2k online for bankroll.) Also time to move some money around > put on sites I will play on.. take off sites I don't play on much anymore. Other stuff > purchase 'HEM' or SuperHUD2 and get going with it! Use up DTB membership maybe in Dec. Consider joining Tournament Poker Edge for Christmas. Plan to play the BCPC in Vancouver in Spring of 2013 because chances of me getting to play in WSOP in Van. end of October is now slim & near next to no chance (Have $600 phone bills to pay off, along with Power bills, vehicle repairs, dog getting neutered & shots, need new furniture for apt., new computer & monitor(?), $150 cage for Yogi, $100 mulit-level cat perch for Bear, clothes for girlfriend, maybe a 'ring'(?). Yah.. I need around $7k

Sept.9, I play in one of those 500 chip $1buyin PokerStars Radio Hyper Turob tourneys. Starting stacks are only 5bb's. 152 entrants. Games lasts 20mins. I take 1st place!!! 1st place wins bonus $215 WCOOP Ticket. I have phone sitting ready to answer it. Only had it for a few days (borrowed from friend) have the goofy settings on it setup so it'll ring real loud (outdoor settings.. whatever the fk that is?). It rings.. YES! I answer with the phrase that pays.. "SHOW ME THE MONEY".. but the goofy phone put them on 'Hold' ?? wtf? THen I click on 'SEND' again to answer.. again it goes onto HOLD!!! One more time.... may have gone through but doesn't seem like it.. I say "hello?.. hello?.. then 'SHOW ME THE MONEY!' He says, "NOPE! you lose!" cuz I didn't say it first.. fuck you, lol I go to explain about my phone... he's cutting me off & laughing, I say 'fuck' a couple times.. I get bleeped.. he hangs up. Then notice there's a delay on the supposed 'live' radio show... they edit it out.. but still fuck me over, LOL. Stars sends me a $27 Step2 ticket. Whatever but still was handled real poorly by support. Nothing like how Fulltilt had treated me in past. So.... a big FUUU to Pokerstars! Cheap fucks.. couldn't even give a recreational donkament player a f'n ticket. FUUU Poker! LOL

Tough day today. Painted til' late on Fri. night & again on Sat. night. Slept for ~4hrs. both nights & vehicle broke down at job. LOTS on my mind & very little sleep. Today was the day of WCOOP priv. satties. Ended up break-even on the day. Got real close in FTR WCOOP Special. Top 5 won seats (127 entrants), went out in 8th while sitting 5th of 8 left. EP raise, I 3bai in LP with AKo.. but ran into AA :( Took a couple beats in this one but still ended up not too bad (KK < TT, AK <> KJ).

1st CC Stars, 4th on BCP

Was having a good day on the tables today. Was one of those days where my handreading felt spot on - making some big folds, some decent bluffs, getting max value & some thin river value. Took 1st in CC Stars for $67, took 4th in BCP (was CL with 4 left, took a couple beats & ended up in 4th). Amazing how some of them have played for so long & yet still play so poorly. Was running deep in the $10 $5Kguar. on WilliamHill. With 31 players left, sitting in 9th, a BvB spot comes up with other bigstack on the table. He raises full 3x in SB.. I 3bai for 27bb's in BB with QQ.. hoping to look weak'ish'. He snaps with AK & gets there.. sigh. A good day in all.

So close in the Pokerstars WorldCup Team Canada qualifier

Didn't even know the Pokerstars WorldCup Team Canada qualifiers for trip to Bahamas at PCA were even running today. Got into them at last minute. Went deep in the $1 tourney, ending up going out in 5th ($31). Soooo close to a free trip to Bahamas! Didn't play much at all today (really worn out still).. but also managed a 2nd place finish in Cardschat Pokerstars buyin for $37.50 & the roll continues to creep along > $4,868 now. $5k just around the corner! (winnning Trip to Bahamas would've been a nice edition, LoL).

2nd Cardschat Bodog tourney

This week I played almost nothing on Sunday. Was just soooo tired I chose to unreg. from everything but then realized I had to play the Bodog$100k because my ticket was going to expire. (lost JJ < AA, ~290th/700). Play in that tourney was ridiculously soft (3-4 limpers each hand even at the 250/500 levels with eff stacks 10-25bb's). Probably crazy to not play it every week & should start playing the satellite for it on Saturdays (more overlay in it too, ~$2k). Couldn't skip the Cardschat game on Bodog tonight. Was the only game I played today, having a couple spare hours before babysitting the grandaughter. HeadsUp even stacks (pulled a nice suckout once we were ITM, EP minRaise.. I shove 12bb's w 99 & one of the blinds wakes up with KK... I turn a '9' for the win! HeadsUp, SB raises POT (21 eff. bb's).. I RRAI w QQ, got called by A9o.. they hit running cards for a straight on river :( (3-outer). 2nd of 16 entrants > $43.20 Total for 2012: $4,525.36 (will be lucky to hit $7,500 by Christmas)

Haven't been playing all week. Got alot of work done this week (painting mostly) had plans to take a bit of time off from working to play a handful of tournaments but then just had wayyyyy too much on my mind to even consider it (some really tough times these days... worrying myself to death but ritely so :( ) Had some fun in a game on Wednesday > Love & Hate poker forum on WilliamHill ($2 buyin with $100added). I've played in 5 of these now > 2x 2nd, 1x 1st. This one happened to be 1st!

Another Sunday, might as well be last week, lol

Just read over part of last week's blog post & this Sunday is pretty much a repeat. Got up real early here today - - ready to go by 7:30am. Considered playing a schedule of tourneys I'm usually asleep for but then once again felt like crap (physically) & just not motivated at all. Kept myself reg'd. for a few private games, & ended up getting a 3rd & 4th in the CC games. With the time it took, I should've probably played some other stuff at the same time (was on the puter anyways). Just not feelin' the motivation at all these days. I go outside with the dog, take a walk.. 'beautiful day'... looking at the computer screen looks like punishment. Could care less if I stack someone off in a tourney or make a great read, etc. Maybe the spark will come back sometime soon. Been thinkin' about doin' a massive grind but doubt that's the answer, LoL. Maybe just not play at all? or play some mixed games for awhile??

1st in CC Pokerstars buyin

Once again I had a full schedule for Sunday MTT's & as usual I'm just wayyyy too tired (not enough sleep & feelin' like crap!). I had pre-reg'd for a bunch, including Bodog $100K, but un-reg'd from most of them, playin' pretty much only the priv. donkaments (hard to pass up on these no matter how I'm feeling, lolz). Managed to take 1st in the return of Cardschat's PokerStars buyin tourney!! (had a good run on them just before they were discontinued back in May 2011). Only $50added in this one so it was only $62 for 1st but I'll take it. We're over $4,300 on the year now & just over $500 for July. Nearing final table of the FTR on Bwin, sitting with decent stack vs. others.. 3rd of 13 left. Couple limpers (as usual... these fish are limping with blinds at 400/800.. on 10-15bb stacks.. like every hand!). So I shove from BB w 88.. AK calls & drops me back to near last place on a SS, lol.. sigh. (same guy goes out in 10th ?) Thought it was you 'Matt' but only from player's name. Ended up being bubble boy > other SS chops a pot, I'm left with 4bb's as blinds go up again, I shove from SB v BB.. BB with <10bb's snapcalls me w J8o & wins.. sigh. Would've been nice to take that one down. (was over $150 for first.. & would give me some $'s on that site as the MTT fields are uber soft)

Micro Millions MainEvent - 6,021st of 65,063

Was pre-reg'd. for a bunch of MTT's this morning & with it being last weekend before Jenna & Maddie arrive home I figured I'd be making the best of it (in other words > playing LOTS of tourneys 'in peace'). Felt physically sick from the get go & really just wanted to laydown in my chair & go to sleep. Unreg'd from a bunch but then figured I had to play the PokerStars MicroMillions MainEvent (& that ridic $3 turbo ... because of my 'free ticket', lol). Well around 5hrs. into it before we get into the money, for over an hour I've got guys on my table who are timing down a full 100secs. each turn so they can 'min-cash'. What a huge f'n drag! Once we were in the money, what had been a decent structure seemed to go thru the roof (blinds escalated in a big way). Got it in a few times to stay alive, then finally shipped AJs from UTG.. eMP player rrai to iso. Flipping... cool! Lookin' good.... sigh, lol. Min.-cashed for $52.05 Couple small cashes in some other priv. games & just missed the Top18 on pokercast game for the 'bonus $50' (it was 4-max today... more chances to play hands vs. idiots, lol). Ended up profitting on the day. Saving my last Bodog$100K ticket til' next weekend (hopefully I'll be well-rested & feeling better.... it's been a hell of a week.. .make that 2weeks!).

Played 3 games tonight - took a 1st & a 2nd

Was going to play 5 games (just the priv. ones) but then was just way too tired so I only played the first 3. Still haven't played any of the MicroMillions... probably not missing much. Got a 2nd in Love & Hate Poker forum's WilliamHill game (again) for $35 & then a 1st in Pokerspace game on Intertops (was down to my last few bucks on Intertops too). Real soft fields in both.

If I could get my head clear (instead of worrying about my partner) this would be probably be a good time to put in a bit of volume between work days. Took a 3rd in the Cardschat BlackChipPoker buyin today for $21.25 putting me over $4k on the year so far. Didn't feel like playing much today.... today was the worst week in my life! Sooooooo unfair & missing my partner like crazy!!! I pray she is okay today!

Huge loss before this was when I raised with KK otb.. & he calls with J2s. & then CRAI huge with FD vs my KK.. & he hits, lol. I came back from that, then won big pot only to lose to a bunch of donkings. Was pretty sick as I figured I'd completely outplayed the guy (had him earlier raising me on turn cuz he hits his Ace with A7o vs. my QJs turn'd Nut straight.. & he calls my 4bai on turn drawing dead, lol). Oh well.. next time. Still managed a 2nd & picked up $35 to begin building the WilliamHill account again (planning on moving my iPoker network play over to WilliamHill instead of Titan & just playing the minimum on Titan to qualify for bonus games, regional games & the couple private games they still have running on there. Makes a ton more sense for me to play on WilliamHill because it's the only iPoker site that works with pokerprolabs TopShark. Still haven't hit $4k so far this year... but almost got there today. Had I not missed out on a few games today (due to work) I'm pretty sure I would've gotten there. Hmm.. maybe come August I'll be able to put three full days aside for poker each week (Wed., Fri., & Sunday).

2nd HPC Cake, 6th CC BCP freeroll

I usually skip these private tourneys on CakePoker but after cashing in yesterday's & looking over past results in them I figured I had to play it. Tonight's was HoldemPokerChat $3 buyin $25-added. 19entrants took 2nd for $24.60 HeadsUp vs. a HUGE donk, got them allin pre AQ < KJo flopped the Ace.. they hit their J.. then turned another 'J' for the win.. sigh. ez game though. Cardschat BlackChipPoker $100freeroll 6th of 49 for $6.00 Had close to zero on BlackChip the other day & now have ~$60. Enough to keep in private buyins for awhile. One fun hand in the Freeroll vs. a player who I have pegged with a gazillion notes, waiting to make use of them. They raise UTG & it's folded to BTN who calls & I call in SB with a speculative JTs.. BB BTN 'calling' prompted my call there. Flop A-9-6 c/c/c Turn '7'.. I turn a gutterball & check.. they 'minbet' BTN calls, I call (If BTN fold I prob fold too... but it was too tempting with extra chips in the pot & felt that if I hit miracle card I would get paid off AND that if I shoved river it'd look like B.S. River.. '8' my miracle card, lol. I overpot Shove... UTG snapcalls & shows 77 for a turned set (where they chose to minbet 1/6th pot, lol). That one felt good.

3rd HPC on Cake & funny HH (+ev priv games!)

Went out in 7th in CC Bodog game. LOTS of shortstacks nearing bubble, I open-shove 11bb eMP & run into AA. Made a couple of really big laydowns earlier on but was pretty certain they were good. Here's a funny, yet typical hand illustrating why some of these micro buyin private tourneys are soooo +ev. The priv. games on Cake are just FILLED with weak/bad players (guessing a bunch are from Railbirds). I withdrew most of my $'s off of Cake just last week & have only made min. deposits on 4 Cake sites, having now probably withdrawn ~$750 & rarely play on the sites (left only ~$5-$20 on each site, just enough to play a few of the priv. tourneys. Regular tourneys are super soft on there too & am thinking I should leave ~$100 on Intertops & start playing some of them again (will definitely do this with a better computer as right now the Cake network seems to take a fair bit of power to run). Here's the HH.... villain raise POT w AJo in Utg... I just 'call' w AK n eMP, CO (a HUGE station) calls. Flop K-J-4cc Utg bets 1/2 pot,... I call & CS folds. Turn 'A' Utg shoves over 3x pot?!?!?! What? ez call w AK.. he shows AJ (wonder what he figured would call there that he could beat?) More likely he's afraid of me drawing to flush so he shoves? Way too funny! Got AK in vs AJ a couple times in this same tourney, losing a HUGE pot in one... from a TERRIBLE call by villain (would've brought me to 11k in chips with next biggest sitting at <3k with 12 left). Not worth showing but just another example of why these games are soooooooooo +ev (just need to have stuff hold occassionally, lol).

41st in Bodog$100K for $500; 3rd in RTR Stud on WPT, 3rd CC BCP

A few cashes today helped. (nothing on Stars though... go figure?? lol) Played off one of my 3 100K bodog tickets today (it was expiring today). Took 41st of 563 entrants for $500 Not too shabby for a $5 investment! Finally pulled off a cash in the RTR series on WPT. Today's was 3rd of 77 in Stud, $2 buyin with $500added. Between not playing enough volume of priv. donkaments, not running that well & no significant cashes in the past couple mos., I'm a big behind the projected goal for 2012. Currently sitting at Total Cashes: $3,484.46 (117 cashes) Here's some pics. of the results.
