3rd Cardschat Carbon buyin

Played the Cardschat Carbon buyin & managed a 3rd place. These games are really +EV as many of the players are not good at shove/fold game & with the blind structure on Carbon priv. tourneys it is essential imo (blinds escalate exponentially after 1st break).

PXF all-access promo 72hrs. has expired now.... sigh. I got a good 6days out of it & probably watched around 25 vids. (~20hrs.) so I made great use out of it. Still would love to watch some more of the MTT vids. & to participate in their forum (good players on there & HUGE potential for picking up a backer/staker once I get going on some MTT play). Might consider joining PokerPwnage site.... we'll see.

Nothing much goin' on the tables lately as I've just purchased Vol.2 of Winning Poker Tournaments off of PokerXFactor and received a 72hr. all-access membership which I've been making HUGE use out of (gone 2days over the deadline now & still watching more of them).

Learned zippo in the SNG vids. (Sheets & Beanmo) and am realizing how good the Glitlr vids. really are (but knew that already). The MTT vids. >> I've been watching TONS of them, preferring the live taped multi-tabling sessions the most. Biggest thing I've been learning is that the game is pretty much about stack sizes, 3-betting vs. villain's range & with stack sizes behind on the table. Probably biggest thing I'm learning is... I NEED to get my ass on the tables of $100+ cuz the $26donkaments are just that... full o donks. Hmm.... in time. Must do some serious lowstakes grinding for a bit, move my pokerfunds over onto the same account (Fulltilt) and then off to the races! (more like.. then grind away into insanity!). A big score would sure be nice to get started, lol (even another 4-digit cash would get me on my way).

Cardschat UltimateBet buyin

Played the Cardschat $5 UB buyin this afternoon (& a $2rebuy at the same time,.... the rebuy sucked HUGE!).

Second half of CC final table played out great for me as I stepped up the aggression near the end and managed to take it down (fairly easy HU vs. Tonawanda8... don't know much about them).

Fulltilt STEPS! (short-term goals)

With Fulltilt Steps just being introduced this weekend I ended up playing a bunch of the Step1's (and even a handful of the Step0 - $1 buyin 30 of 99 get paid a Step1 ticket). Seemed too ez at first & then one suckout donking after another.... the weekend randoms. Still came out ahead & have been considering some short-term goals with them >>>>
buyin for 10 Step 0's & 10 Step 1's and see how many Step3's I end up with ($26 tickets, which I will then use for MTT's & 45-plyr. SNG's).
Depending upon how it goes I might then do another series of Step1 sng's (9plyr. turbo).
On Sunday I must've bubbled the Step1's 5x in-a-row (3rd-5th) & ended up with 3 step2's so far (~$26 with $20 invested so far).
Just prior to this I was considering setting aside $65 for playing satellites and then using T$'s to play for Tokens & to use for more sattys & MTT's. Change in plan now as I figure I will be splitting up between sattys & steps.

Losing inspiratioin for playing the priv. donkaments

I've found myself losing the inspiration/motivation to be playing the micro private donkaments so far this month. Playing 1500 chipaments with a mix of players, going out while getting in good gets to be lame. There is value in them so I will trudge onward.... need to do something about the motivation thing though (maybe play a series of $10-45plyr SNG's on Fulltilt?).
ECOOP & SCOOP series coming up soon so should probably play a dozen or so MTT's to keep on top of things.
Only one cash on the weekend - 367th in the $22-DoubleDeuce on Fulltilt for $67.00
Bankroll now is ~$3k spread across a half-dozen sites. I guess I'll make a post when it breaks the $3k mark (and make a goal of it).
