My blogging hadn't been too consistent on here recently & directly correlated to my enthusiasm for the game. Well today's micro MTT successes helped to re-instill a bit after taking a short layoff & then finding it difficult to get into it again.

Hope to make a go of it again now.

LOTS of MTTs lined up for Sunday Oct.31st. Here's hoping on a few deep runs & some much needed cashes!

Snoop wins a TurboTakedown satty!!

Snoop pulls of a win in the PocketFives Turbo Takedown satty today. For a measley 25vpp buyin, P5's added 450,000vpp to the prizepool, giving away 150 entries to the TurboTakedown. (I went out fairly early).
With 154 players left, snoop was sitting in 151st but with the BB upon her the very next hand... oh.. now the lobby says she's in 153rd.. sigh.. she has only 45 more chips than 1 sb... she shoves utg with AJo. One bigstack had been shoving in every hand and so there was hopes of them doing this again so snoop would be up vs. only one opponent. He opts to fold.. then SB with only 1.5bb's also folds so it's HeadsUP vs. the BB. BB with 94o.. flop comes Q-9-4... TERRIBLE!!!..Oh.. but wait, she can still win with runner runner JJ, A J, AA, or runner runner flush. Damn.. 'K' on the turn.. she's totally bummed thinking she's drawing dead. BUT WAIT.. she needs a 10 for the straight.. I'm thinking "Come on TEN!!!".. and then BOOM.. a 10 on the river for the win!!! YES!!!!! AWESOME HAND!!
Next hand SB shoves & she has to fold in BB. THen the next hand BB is sitting out so she gets to take it down in SB. She's guar. a win now if she just folds her way in.

Finally a cash in a CC buyin, this time a 2nd in Carbon

Well after taking my girlfriend to move to Pt.Alberni & thinking that when I got home I'd have to put in a bit of serious time grinding on the tables, things just haven't turned out that way. Firstly it's been busy as hell at work here, with a few more floods & just far more physical work than I want to be doing right now. Work way too hard then be completely burnt out & recovering the next.
Have only played a small handful of priv. tourneys & took some nasty beats in them. The motivation just hasn't been there.
Did play a couple of 27's ($5) & managed to chop 1st in one (which got me to check my stats. in those games on Fulltilt.. over the past 90days just 50 of those games but am running with ROI +88% which is completely sick. Now if I can just get some volume in!

Plan now for Fulltilt is to grind the $5-27's & 45's, throwing in some $10-45's & once I've profitted $1K from them, move to the $10-45's & do a Token run so I'll be rolled for a run of some MTT's on Fulltilt.
For Pokerstars, put in one day or so per week of grinding the lower buyin MTT's. If no decent scores in them, consider moving some Fulltilt $'s over to Stars so that I can be rolled for min. of $10 buyin MTT's & look into the 180plyr. SNG's (but NOT the $4 buyins... those are just toooo shitty of play & know I can't stomach it).
Titan - no real plans for there, aside from perhaps adding in a couple of MTT's from there while playing the Pokerstars mtt's. Perhaps look to move some of my money off of there for Christmas as it's just sitting there I don't need nearly that much on there right now.
CarbonPoker - get into some $11 buyin MTT's or lower buyin rebuys. Also look to withdrawl some $'s off of there too (again, money sitting there doing nothing.. would be better to have it on stars).

$5,070 score for my girlfriend in $109 mtt on Fulltilt!

My girlfriend takes down a nice score on Fulltilt for $5,070.00 in a $109 buyin MTT. She'd just had a few deep runs in MTT's, & actually built a $50 bankroll to over $6k in two days! Started off with a 3rd in a $5 mtt, then a 10th in a $75buyin & then WHAM, a 2nd in a $109 buyin MTT on Oct.21st. Very nice!!

Wrapped up 4king Fulltilt League today.. FTW!!

Today was the last 4kingpoker games of the League/series on Fulltilt.
Was close to having 1st for the league locked up but a few still in contention with one game remaining. Taking down 1st place was a nice way to end it off.
Great game played by snoopsters today too - she grabbed 4th place & gave our team (the DarkKnights) a 2nd overall finish (for a few bonus bucks). Went out with AK v KK.. cooler. GG snoop!!!
The OFC final of 3 series started up today with the freeroll. Was doing great fairly deep into it but then went downhill... ended up in 58th of 1,245

3rd in CC Varitey game & took down 4king Carbon League final

Managed to take down the 4kingpoker Carbon league today. It was the final game of an 8game series and was sitting in 1st prior to the game with enough of a lead that only one member had a chance of winning it (all the others I was at least 40pts. ahead of, so even if I didn't play & they took 1st place they still couldn't catch up).
Ended up going out in 6th place.. which guar. the win. QQ lost to AKs ..sigh..

Also took 3rd today in the Cardschat Variety Game... of 38 players.

Some other small priv. tourney scores lately & have been managing to slowly build up the Fulltilt roll via playing the 27plyr. sng's... along with some 9plyr. sngs.

3rd in the 4king Carbon game today (sept.3)

Just played one game today - 4kingpoker CarbonPoker League game. I was sitting in 1sst on the leaderboard after 5 tourneys (halfway through the season).
Ended up in final 3, sitting in 2nd when I wake up with AA on the BTN. BB calls with J5 and flops Top 2 on a J52 flop... sigh.
I'll take the 3rd though. Unfortunately the 2nd place finisher was sitting in 2nd on the Leaderboard & is now tied with me in 1st overall.

4th Cardschat Fulltilt Freeroll Aug.31

This game today had ALOT of fun spots (will likely post a bunch of hands from it). Went out in 4th, BTN rs'd.. I was short & shoved in SB w JJ... BB flats? w 66... ugh. Was a great game though.

Sun.Aug.29, couple small priv. mtt cashes & some bb's

Sunday Aug.29th, a couple of small cashes - 3rd in ccfinder on Titan & 10th in CC Fulltilt buyin.
Some bad donkings in others - Stars CC was brutal was in top2 for half the tourney then QQ < 44 and then lose a race to same guy shortly after.
Played a few other micro mtts on Stars = real bad, lol. In the $5-20k on stars I had close to 50k in chips nearing bubble, sitting in good shape get donked & then major donked when I raised up in EP w AK, get 3callers. Flop K-T-T I cbet (big) and a guy reraises me allin.. with KJ..then hits runner runner RoyalFlush, lol. So sick.. he didn't even have a redraw on the flop.. got it in like 5to1 dog. Pathetic. THen still w close to 20bb's Utg limp, Utg1 shoves.. I shove w QQ
Still doin okay in the priv. donkaments (aside from Stars today that is).. but getting oafed in the reg. micro donkament stuff ($5 & $10).

CC 6max 3rd of 33.. some fun hands

3rd today in CC's Fulltilt 6max tourney,... a few fun hands here.

Early levels JoeShowdown raises OTB, I 3bet in SB w 97s, he 4bets... I hit timer... & shove (as I'd done before w AA a couple times in past). He calls obv.,.. but... lol

Another hand, thebatter raises (tight player) I have 77 & don't have implied odds to flat to set-mine (his stack isn't even close to deep enough). I fold these alot though & figured If I did hit he would obv pay me off.
I hit!!.. he's first to act on a monotone flop.. he leads out 2xpot? (I think i call)

Another hand.. Danny shoves ~10bb w KQ.. I call in BB w AQ.. looks bad... phew.."Ace on the river"

The other hand.. 'catch the bluff'. This player loves to flatcall &/or defend BB & then tries to take it away when thinking his opponent is weak (he prob defends BB 1/2 the time easy). I was actually rarely raising but would on occassion as I'm obviously going to want to play pots vs this guy while in position... 'let him hang himself' This one works out nicely with set on the river.. he leads out on the river (I suppose he's repping the flush here?)

Fun hand in CC Fulltilt MTT, early levels quad 3's

This was a fun hand today & actually the timing was nice because it came right after another big hand I'd played (but unfortunately didn't get paid off on) and was vs. same opponent. The first hand I open-raised in early pos. w JTs, villain calls in blinds.. Villain donkbets flop.. I flop nutstraight & RoyalFlush draw.. I raise.. & they fold.
Then. next hand I play vs. same player.
2 limpers & w 33 in SB I complete. 4 to the flop. I lead out on a AQ3 2-tone flop with a set, they raised, I 4bet..& they flat. Turn appears to be a blank I bet they shove I call.. yay!

Aug.1st 5th in Cardschat Fulltilt Sunday Buy-in

Took a 5th in the Cardschat Sunday buyin on Fulltilt. That's 3 for 3 now in them. Long time overdue imo... for a couple of months there I ran sooooo bad in these I was beginning to wonder if there was any value in playing them.

Played just a couple of reg. MTT's on Sunday, some of the stuff was pretty ridiculous so I chose to not play very many. Here's a busto hand from the $5-20K on Stars (villain had been in every hand & had just called allin with 94 so I figured I'd just put the pile in preflop to their MP raise... they snap-called with T5s, lol).

July31 1st 4kingpoker Fulltilt w epic HU slowroll

Played the 4kingpoker Fulltilt League today & took 1st. Played a good game for the most part, made some steals with ridiculous hands (72o) and picked up some big pots in weird spots with speculative hands that were pretty funny.
Final 3 & we hit a break. I tell them I'll 'brb' instead of clicking on ready cuz I had to let g/f know I'd be a few more minutes & was still in a game & we needed to drop her daughter off at the Greyhound (if I wasn't ready she was going to take her by herself but if I was done shortly I'd be going as well). So I get back on table & tell the other two I've gotta go SOON! Can we click on 'ready'... they don't click it? (maybe they're not there). Then it's JoeShowdown's turn & he types in some bs about me lying about having to go?? wtf? Says some more stupid shit and then lets his timer run down fully each f'n time it's his turn (just bein' a punk). I get a bit upset & he says more retarded, assuming bs. I get more upset & say fk u.. my chat gets cut off for 5mins. When it comes back on I ask him, "Why?" He responds like the punk goof he is and then I let him have it, telling him what I think of him.
Then.. just two of us left & this hand comes up.. the very first hand of HeadsUp play. I'd been min-raising ALOT with blinds being so high (more comments from him.. calling me a min-raising bot? and other stupid shit). He ships it allin ... cha-ching.. perfect time for an epic slowroll you piece of shit. I let my timer rundown & then click on extra time, letting around 30secs. or more click by then call with KK, lol. He says, "classy"..I answer "you're the one who felt it necessary to run down the timer every hand earlier"

Tried a bigger buyin on Titan $33 -$3kguar. & took 3d!

Played a higher buyin on Titan tonight (higher compared to all the micro donkaments I've been playing) - $33 buyin $3Kguar. 6,000chips 12min.levels. I liked it!
As the tourney progressed (about 1/2 field remaining), 6 of 8 players on the table were all ranked as an A*** (min.) on Topshark, some even A***** with over $100,000 in profit. It made for a good game & one I felt very comfortable playing in.
I'll definitely be playing more MTT's on that site (a couple of $20 buyins & a couple $33 buyins & a $109 buyin on the weekends). Looking forward to it! If I can continue to build on there I'll be able to transfer funds over to Fulltilt & take a shot on there too.

Some of the hands they'll call down with in early levels are really humorous. This one.. although his play was funny the outcome wasn't.
He Limp/Calls a 4.5x raise pre.. then check raises me allin on the flop, LOL.

2 Cardschat final tables today

Two Cardschat final tables today. In the one I was down to 600chips in early levels after getting called down real light on the river.. a crazy call I thought (maybe a crazy attempt at representing a hand to a player who's unable to think at that level?).
In the other (both on Fulltilt) I was first out on final table when I got called down by a UTG limper on the flop after check-raising them allin on the flop (they actually called me with 1-card of the ignorant end of a straightdraw (me TopPr.).. they hit it on the turn & I was sent to the rail.
Some funny hands in early going in all the tourneys I played today (some really fun bluffs, some big hands getting paid off BIG... as in WOW..how do they get it in there, hee hee hee). Then I played a $5 buyin Railbirds donkament (had $500 added.. hence why I endured it)... went out in 14th off the bubble by a bit.. 77 running into QQ. Kind of a shame because some of the players were just sooo bad (but hey.. they're havin' fun).

2 final tables on Stars today

Two final tables on Pokerstars today, missing out on the bigger money but still I'll take the 8th of 2,987 for $172.00 & the 7th in the $5 360cap mtt. Also a min.cash in another MTT I played on stars (and yah.. went out on a badbeat in that one... just ITM my AA < TT.. sigh..). Still, it was nice to have some of my big hands hold up today!!! (the extra few bucks will help out the bankroll too!)
