Mini GSOP & GSOP starting soon on Ongame

Played a couple of satellites to the GSOP (GSOP Giveaways) with decent added $'s. Picked up a $54 ticket in the $1 buyin, narrowly missing out on the $109 ticket (lost to runner runner.. sigh). Planning for a different Sunday this weekend. I'll be babysitting all day so will only be playing a small handful of priv. mtt's. In other words, it's probably going to be a profitable Sunday for a change, lol.

Uneventful Sunday

Bad run this Sunday. Busting out of many in succession to the shittiest players. Only results were a 2nd in CC Stars & a refund on Colt when site shutdown while deep in the $10-10k gtd., getting a refund of $35 which turned out to be my biggest cash on the day lol. Probably better than the result I'd have had w/o the shutdown. Had a bad attitude after running like shit vs. huge fish.... then after busting out of ~15-20mtt's, I decided to play in the $90 Sun $100k on 888Poker and got a f'n brutal table... the exact opposite of what I'd been on all day as it was REG-INFESTED! Doubled up early in that after flopping the nuts (Broadway w AK from EP) and having player in BB donking into me, calling a raise & then having him get it in on the turn with a CRAI for HUGE (we were deep)... he held 98s, the ig-end, lol.. weee.. a quick double up to 10k in chips but it was the shits from then on.. and then I fk'd up HUGE! Puter was lagging, goofy settings had the back of the cards colour not standing out from background which caused me to fk up HUGE on my bustout hand. I thought it was an LP aggro blind steal but missed the eMP raise.. and LP 'flat' (< trap!)... so I over-shipped 23bb's with KQo in SB.. then eMP rrai.. and LP calls.. up vs. AQs & AKo (AQs sucked out for a HUGE pot). Went in Bodog $100k at same time (reg'd late) and it was a huge donkfest (as usual). Had a guy call a limper with A6o.. then he calls a 5x re-raise.. calls down an AXX board.. with his shitty TPnK, only ahead of a bluff. Made a shit play in that one too, shipping it a bit wide in a spot where I knew it was in bad shape again w KQ. Not sure what to play on Sundays... always feel like I'm faced with decision between playing a bunch of shitty cheapo private junk or playing a few decent tourneys.... but then not wanting to miss any I get too much running on puter, get lag issues & lose value. Maybe just stick with the ones that build the bankrolls & then add in a bunch of MTT-SNG 45 & 27 man sng. Need to take advantage of the massive amounts of fish on the tables on the weekend instead of taking shots and bleeding off my bankrolls.

a slow month - January

A slow month as far as results in the private $'s-added stuff. Missed out on a few good ones, finishing on bubble in a couple (ie. FTR on PartyPoker had great payout... but had excruciatingly long bubble, chopped BvB AJ v A3o, then lost flip 55 < AJo. Last place paid $56 - decent $'s for a $3 buyin or whatever it was). Only 15 priv. cashes on the month for $343.81 (dismal). Haven't been playing much though & not alot of games to play in. I've also gotten rid of a few sites (ie. Intertops, Cake, & a few others to follow > Bwin, BCP). Really not many games in the lobbys these days & many of the ones that were always running in the past no longer exist (ie. PokerLiga/ ITP Liga). Managed to barely pop the bubble on a private PartyPoker tourney today > Top6 paid, me & one other were extremely short. I could not find a single spot for like 5 orbits (& prior to that I'd been shipping wide when I did get it in). I finally get it in from MP when other SS in in BB.. with J5o. He's uber short too but really tight.. times down & calls with K5o. I spike the J on flop & win! lolz. 6th of 40 for $19.20

MiniFtops has come & gone

Off to a mediochre start here in 2013 as far as volume of play goes. I'm not even getting into many of the priv./cash-added games these days. Am working on a schedule with work/poker so that I'll be able to play 3days/wk. & hope to be doing so by March. MiniFtops just finished yesterday with the MainEvent. I had two entries ($75) having won the tickets in an $8 satellite. Managed to get 947th with one of them for $171.20 Satellites were real profitable. With a less than $75 investment I managed to win ~$485 worth of miniFtops tickets, including a $109 buyin, 1x $55 (10-game) but used it for a $55 turbo satty to the 2-day $216, 3x $33, a bunch of $22's & a $10. Cashed in 3 of the MiniFtops events, #18, #19 & MainEvent, for total of ~$270. Overall profit for series was $200. No biggy but was fun and had good experience with it (ie. KO'ing some of the HSMTT regs. & getting the oppurtunity to play on tables with players I pretty much only rail). No other big cashes to speak of so far for 2013. Best finish so far was a 4th in the $2.75 buyin, $4k Gtd. on Pokerstars for ~$300. Entered it on a whim while railing g/f as she was crushing the MiniFtops#1 (she was doing great! sitting in top10 for a few hours, even chip leader of the tourney for awhile). She ended up going out in ~200th spot for ~$240 (she also did great in some sng's, running $20 up to $600 in one afternoon!... then doing it again to $300. Perhaps I'm playing the wrong games???) Feeling overwhelmed today with the amount of work I have lined up at my job. It is just nuts! I have 3wks. of 10hr. days sitting here and know that once I'm into it there'll be more piling on regularly. One hour at a time... one unit at a time. Some is better than none & it will NEVER be at a point where it is all completed (< something I'm beginning to accept after years of trying to forge ahead for a much needed break... ain't gonna happen.. at least not while I'm managing the old building).

Another Bodog $100k ticket win!

Mostly zero'd out the Sunday tourneys I played in today. Once again very little sleep last nigh (I can't recall the last time I got a decent sleep on a Saturday night or when I didn't log onto the computer to find myself sitting out in a few 'pre-reg'd.' games). It's a reallyl shitty way to start a day & a huge precursor to tilt. Today after busting out of the first few I decided "That's it. I'm going to sitout for a couple of hours & start this over again at noon". Well.. it didn't work out that way - - I was in some NewDep.PrizeFreeroll on WillHill (not sure why I got a ticket for it?). 1st place was a Sony Laptop. 747 entrants & I was acquiring a stack. I couldn't just sitout. (at same time I busted out of the $5k Monthly sidegames freeroll on there, when this HUGE SPazz raises with Q4o in MP.. I ship 20bb's from BB with AQs.. he SNAPS and flop is QT4... sigh.. with Q on river, lol.) I managed to final table the Prize Freeroll, 7th winning a $44 ticket. Went out with TT v 66 (6 on river). Too bad. A laptop would've been super nice! :) Played a $60 mtt (with a coupon) on BCP. Knowing they're moving to WPN tomorrow, I didn't want to get stuck with some tickets in account. 547 entrants, went out ~75th. Was a decent tourney. Too bad I'll never get to play it again, lol. Last one for the day was the $5 SundayFootball $100k ticket added on Bodog. Seemed like no time at all & I was sitting on Final table & by the time the bubble had popped I only then just realized that we were even actually on the final table. Final 4 & I win BIG pot with AA. Then 3 left I'm CL. Other two get it in pre.. and we're even in chips HU (~30bb's). Back & forth and then villain is raising LARGE every single SB & I'm totally cardead but RRAI just enough to stay in it. Finally get back to even.. and then final hand is he raises (LARGE like usual) & I RRAI 20bb's w ATs..he calls it off with KTo. I hold.. yesssssss!!!!!!! Sweet! $162 ticket + $78.75. Second time I've won that tourney in a month (50entrants in tonight's game). Won't be missing that one ever! Two tickets saved up for the $100k now. Hopefully win some Christmas shopping money next weekend (wouldn't that be f'n sweet timing? Final table the $100k a few weeks before Christmas!! ONE TIME!!!).

3rd in PoketFives Open!!!

Didn't have plans to play today but then was reg'd for the PocketFives Open on 888Poker. Was a $10 buyin with a bunch of cash & prizes added. Top 20 finishers won a license to PokerTracker4 which was my main goal at start of tournanment. A good friend of mine came by just after the game started & I contemplated sitting out & blinding off to go out for dinner instead. He insisted I play it and stuck around to watch for awhile. 7hrs. later, I go out in 3rd place for $589.00, a Hoodie/sweatshirt, PT4 license ($99), and a 1month membership at PocketFives Training site!!! Glad I played!

OFC - WPT

Another big OFC on WPT weekend. Unfortunately I had crap results. Some really bad suckouts vs. aggro tards again, lol. BUT, Darlene did decently in them. On Saturday she took a brutal beating w AA vs 93s (yup, guy limp/calls 6x with 93s OOP).. FLop was K-J-3 he calls a 7/8th pot bet on flop (3-way).. & he's 3rd in. Turn '6' & Dar leads out again when checked too.. 'big'.. one caller.. mr. 93 with his bottom pr. (ridiculous).. and of course.. '3' on the river, LOL. She was down to just 800 chips (he was over 7k). He was out before bubble.. she took 6th for $40.44 Today's game (Sun., $5 buyin with $2,000added) again I did crap but not for lack of getting it in great (again). I raised it up w QQ in UTG1.. MP calls w 77 Flop (825) 862ss I cbet 618 (a bit larger than usual cuz the player in hand is uberfishtard).... villain RRAI 2,940!!!! WOW! I call. Turn 5 River 9 he hits runner runner for a straight! how sick is that!!! Day was not all bad. Once again Darlene hung in there & got final table, but ended up going out when AK < 88 finishing in 9th for $74.36
